I woke up is a visual and literary daily diary that focuses on turning fleeting moments into lasting memories. Through the ritualistic adornment of my daily experiences, I am giving both consistent places/things new meaning, and inconsistent places/things a familiarity while touching on the relationships we form with the world around us. Through combining elements such as the date, the time I wake up in the morning, text based elements, and a seemingly random place from each given day, I am creating an all encompassing momento out of moments we most often overlook.
