About the series:
A collection of 5 pieces over the course of 5.5 months. Each painting consists of my month to month observations in a visually dimensional composition. The series as a whole touches on encapsulating the experiences and emotions of a months time, to tell a story of my own cyclical self discovery and inner workings over the duration of the series.
Each piece is first layered with writing, followed by charcoal, gesso, marker, and paint, and finally more charcoal to bring depth to the large shapes, bringing that emotion of the shape to the forefront of the composition.
This series begins with "The Untitled Experience//Vantage Point (THE HIGH), The Lost and Found (THE FULL CIRCLE), The Ground(ing) (THE PAST), The Color of the Gray Area (THE FUTURE), The Plan (THE LETTING GO) and finally "the loop//p.s." (RESTART) made as a commentary to the series which takes us back to the beginning of the cycle.
